I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you score your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
How much do they cost?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
